Meeting todays and future requirements

Lime (CAO) production requires the heating of limestone ( Ca CO3) at high temperatures ( > 1.000 C o ) inside vertical kilns The fuel is usually injected with nozzles or at the same time with the stone The type of fuel is mainly ΡΕΤ ΚΟΚ or pomace wood or sawdust.
The temperature of the waste gases is between 180 and 250 Celsius with frequent variations that must be seriously taken under consideration during the designing of the de-dusting installation.
Due to the extremely hard operative conditions (high temperatures with frequent variations, large amounts of dust in the waste-gases, 24h continuous operation)the design of a lime kiln installation requires high experience and must be done with great attention.

The installation of reliable control systems of temperature limits is necessary because filter-clothe is getting damaged when the temperature exceeds the limits.

Furthermore in case of wrong size giving of the filter, filter-clothes are closing up very quickly and as a result the gas outcome is being reduced. This fact leads into the production of low quality product and also causes serious problems at fire-resistant walls of the kiln.
